Hello and welcome to The Page Turner! My name is Danah (pronounced as Day-Nah) and I am a lifestyle writer based in Fukuoka, Japan. It is very nice to meet you, whoever you are.
If you’re here to find out more about me, I’m thankful and very flattered that you came all this way just to get to know me. But I might have to redirect you to my About page if that’s the kind of stuff you were looking for. For my first blog entry, I wanted to talk serious business.
I know that most of you aren’t here to read my biography, but you’re probably here to find out what this is all about and the story behind it. So let’s get down to it!
What Is The Page Turner?
I’ve always wanted to start my own book blog for as long as I could remember. I just have a lot of things to say about the books I love and a lot more about the books I do not. But being a writer by profession has ironically reduced my time to read what I want. And trust me, my list is probably longer than a whole toilet paper roll. While I am very excited to share my love for literature with the online world, The Page Turner is also my own personal challenge to keep reading no matter what is on my schedule.
… And then I thought, “Why should I stop there?”
Let’s Also Embark On A Writing Journey
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably thought about writing your own novel a million times before. Apart from reading regularly, I’ve also decided to take on a very important mission: to guide you on how to write your first full-length story. I will search high and low, far and wide, for the best writing practices in the industry and come back to this blog to make a report. That’s a promise!
Now I know that it all sounds too ambitious, especially for a small-time writer like me. But if my mission becomes successful, then that just proves that it is very possible for you too.
My goal is to find out the secrets behind a page-turner; a book that no one can easily put down. And if that’s the kind of story you want to write, stick around and we’ll get there one blog post at a time. But for now, it’s time to end the chit-chat and let the search begin.
